How many trademark classes should I file in?

File in every class that covers what you sell or plan to sell soon. A clothing brand with an online store, for example, often files in class 25 (clothing) and class 35 (retail services).

What is the government fee per class?

For e-filing, ₹4,500 per class for individuals, startups and small enterprises, and ₹9,000 per class for others. Our professional fee is separate.

Can I use ™ after filing?

Yes. You can use ™ once the application is filed. The ® symbol can be used only after the trademark is registered.

What if I choose the wrong class?

Protection only covers the classes you file in, and classes can't simply be added to an existing application. An expert check before filing avoids paying twice.
