What is the late fee for AOC-4 and MGT-7?
₹100 per day for each form, counted from the day after the due date until the day you file. There is no maximum, so a company that misses both forms pays ₹200 a day.
What is the maximum late fee for GSTR-3B?
The fee is ₹50 a day (₹25 CGST + ₹25 SGST), or ₹20 a day for a nil return. It is capped per return at ₹500 for nil returns, ₹2,000 for turnover up to ₹1.5 crore, ₹5,000 for ₹1.5–5 crore and ₹10,000 above ₹5 crore.
Is interest charged on top of the late fee?
For GST, yes: interest at 18% a year is charged on the tax paid after the due date, in addition to the late fee. ROC late fees are separate from any penalty an authority may impose.
Can late fees be waived?
Only when the government announces a waiver or amnesty scheme for a period. Filing as early as possible is the only sure way to stop the fee from growing.
